Courtney Love says she's feeling "really good" after being found not liable of defaming her former lawyer with a tweet.
The jury in her so-called "Twibel" trial delivered the verdict on Friday, and the rocker told "Spin" afterward that she was "happy to have good counsel for the first time in 24 years."
I can't thank you enough Dongell Lawrence Finney LLP, the most incredible law firm on the planet. We won this epic battle. #justiceprevails— Courtney Love Cobain (@Courtney) January 25, 2014
Love -- who wasn't actually in the courtroom to hear the earlier-than-expected verdict -- also took to Twitter to thank her legal team for helping her win what she called an "epic battle."
Love's trial centered around a tweet she sent in 2010 that said her former lawyer, Rhonda Holmes, had been "bought off." She argued that she intended to send the comment as a direct message to only a few people, but instead accidentally made it public.
Holmes sued for libel in 2011, but the jury decided Friday that Love did not act with malice.
