Listen to Nine Inch Nails on iHeartRadio | Listen to Soundgarden on iHeartRadio

As their Instagram accounts hinted last week, Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden are joining forces for a co-headlining North American summer tour.

The trek is scheduled to start July 19th in Las Vegas, and will make its way through most major markets before wrapping up August 25th in Los Angeles.

It's been 20 years since the two '90s-era rock icons shared a bill at a gig in Toronto, which Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor called a "professional showdown."  Both his band and Soundgarden had released what turned out to be monumental albums on the same day that year -- Nine Inch Nails' Downward Spiral and Soundgarden's Superunknown.  Soundgarden won the chart battle, and Reznor says he and his bandmates went into the Toronto show with a chip on their shoulder.

Tickets for the joint outing -- which will also feature Death Grips in support on most stops -- go on sale to the general public on March 21st.  Pre-sale tickets will also be available starting Monday at either or
