Rock Town Roller Derby, central Arkansas’ only Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) league, will host the inaugural ArkanBrawl Roller Derby Tournament at the Hot Springs Convention Center on September 7th. This single-day tournament will bring four teams from the southeast region together for an action-packed day of roller derby.
The first whistle is at 10 am on September 7th in Hall D of the Hot Springs Convention Center with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. Advanced tickets are on sale now via the Rock Town website. From now until noon on September 6th, you can purchase advanced tickets for $15 each. After that, tickets will be $20 at the door.
This four-game, bracket-style tournament features Rock Town, the home league out of Little Rock, Natural State Roller Derby of Fayetteville, Cape Girardeau Roller Derby, and the Red Stick Roller Derby’s Capital Defenders of Baton Rouge. All games are sanctioned, meaning spectators can expect a high level of play where teams compete for national rankings. Each game consists of two 30-minute halves with a 15-minute intermission. The event will also have a mid-day break from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM for participants and spectators to enjoy the local offerings of downtown Hot Springs.
