Marilyn Manson Collapses While Performing

Anyone who has ever been to a Marilyn Manson show knows that anything can happen while the shock rocker is onstage, but the audience in Houston this weekend witnessed something thatc even Marilyn himself wasn't expecting to happen. The singer collapsed mid-performance.

Before the 49-year-old Marilyn came out, Manson's touring partner, Rob Zombie, gave the crowd a heads-up that Marilyn wasn't feeling great, saying that Manson wouldn't be joining him for a duet and adding, "My dear friend Mr. Manson is feeling under the weather. He’s probably on the bus feeling like crap. I need a partner for the next song so let's sing it really loud and make him feel better."

Manson still gave performing a shot though. He took the stage for his set but had to cut it short four songs in after he collapsed while singing his version of The Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)." It was captured on video:

Manson later tweeted to the audience, thanking them for being understanding and explaining, "I ended up in doctor's care, but I gave it my best and you guys were amazing."

It's not his first illness of the tour. Marilyn wasn't able to take the stage in Toronto last month because of the flu. Meanwhile, last year he cut short a gig in New York City after a stage prop crushed him. That injury left him needing surgery and caused him to cancel nine shows.
