A new video has surfaced showing George Clinton of Parliament/Funkadelic singing in the studio on the Red Hot Chili Peppers' 1991 hit "Give it Away." You can see Flea's orange outfit in the background that the bassist has been wearing lately. It leads fans to believe that there may be a collaboration coming out or something to support the upcoming Australian tour in which George Clinton supports the RHCP.
There also rumors that George Clinton may be tapped to produce the band's next album. The band last worked with George in the 1980's when he produced their second album Freaky Styley . The rumor actually comes from George Clinton himself. During an interview on Reddit, Clinton was asked about collaborating with other artists and he said, "I ll probably work again with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I’ve been talking to Flea a lot. We’ll definitely do something again, either us with them or them with us."
