Mark Hoppus and Pete Wentz Almost Produced a Cartoon For Nikelodeon

A decade ago, Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 pitched an idea for a cartoon to Nickelodeon but it never got off the ground. Hoppus and Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz had even created the theme song and other songs for the cartoon they were going to call Bronze Blue which centered around an underwater pop/punk band spreading their music and an eco-friendly message. The network turned it down.

Mark Hoppus would have starred in the show and according to Variety , " Wentz was on board to voice Shrimpy, the punk rock striped big-mouth bass bassist, while Hoppus was set to play Tako, a guitar-playing octopus. Other characters included J. Dory, a “charismatic enigma seahorse” who was the lead singer of the group; Coral, a fish responsible for female vocals; Al-G, a seal on keyboards; and Barrel Bob, the starfish on drums."

Here are some of the songs they created to help pitch Bronze Blue.
