Early today (March 27th) a truck driver called 911 to report that his truck's brakes were on fire while traveling on a highway west of Camden, AR approximately 100 miles south of Little Rock. The truck was hauling a chemical commonly used to make fertilizer. The chemicals caught fire and led to a massive explosion killing the 63 year-old driver, Randall McDougal.
The explosion created a 15-foot crater causing and making re-routing and evacuations necessary for those in the impact zone. Some reported feeling the explosion up to 60-miles away.
