Man's Genius Virtual Background Will Make All His Meetings Fun

With most of America now working from home to help slow the spread of coronavirus, plenty of people have started to use video conferences. It takes a bit of getting used to, as one woman learned the hard way when she took her laptop to the bathroom not realizing her camera was on and all her co-workers were watching. However, once you get the hang of it, you can really have fun, especially by using the virtual backgrounds feature.

As many workers have learned, some of the video conferencing platforms offer a way to block out the wall behind you and replace it with something more exciting that you get to choose. You can pick a famous backdrop from a TV show or what the inside of your dream house might look like, or anything else. One man's choice though might win the prize for best background.

Video producer Dan Crowd tweeted out a clip from a video meeting he was recently on showing his creative idea in action. The clip sees Dan talking from his home office as the door behind him opens and it's, well, himself. The Dan in the doorway is surprised as he realizes he's interrupting so he makes a quick exit.

Crowd captioned it, "Today I made a Zoom background of myself accidentally walking in on myself in a Zoom meeting."

Hundreds of thousands of people have liked it with one calling it, "the best thing to come out of this quarantine" and another describing it as "modern art."

Others shared their similarly fun backgrounds:

While Dan's background is pretty tough to beat, with at least a few more weeks before more states' stay-at-home mandates are set to expire, there will probably be more innovative video conference backgrounds to come.
