Foo Fighters are the latest band to promote the #SaveOurStages campaign. Over the weekend, the Foos took to Instagram to encourage fans to support local independent music venues that have been hit exceptionally hard by the coronavirus pandemic.
"Live music is built on the foundation of indie music venues," they wrote. "Right now, we need to stand up with them so they can come back stronger than ever. Visit the link in bio to tell your representatives to #SaveOurStages and keep the music alive. 🤘"
They also tagged the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), which began the campaign. NIVA is a group of over 1,300 independently owned music venues that is putting pressure on the government to help them and other small businesses affected by the crisis for "Modifications to Small Business loans and the Payroll Protection Program, Tax Relief, Continued Unemployment Insurance, Mortgage and Rent Forbearance."

Dave Grohl and company were planning to be on the road right now to celebrate their 25th anniversary by playing the same itinerary as their very first tour in 1995. The Van Tour is tentatively rescheduled for this fall, though music venues are currently closed indefinitely.
