Hoppus calls Blink-182 reunion "unfounded rumor" - despite suggesting it

Last week it was suggested that there might be a reunion on the horizon for Blink-182, much to the delight of their fans.

Well, it didn’t take long for bassist Mark Hoppus to walk that chatter back – presumably naked - and offer an update on their new album, which is expected, literally, any day now.

When Hoppus was asked about the speculation of reuniting with Tom Delonge, he replied, "There is not any talk of that right now. I mean I'll never say never to anything, but that is a completely unfounded rumor at this point. But we are finalizing mixes right now, we have about half the album mastered, and the announcement on when the album will be released will be forthcoming."

Let the record show, it that just two weeks ago Hoppus said a Blink reunion would be “a fantastic idea”.

Again, I’m wondering how their current guitarist Matt Skiba feels about all this?
