A Texas mom has gone viral for a video showing the emotional moment her one-year-old daughter heard sound for the very first time.
Anna Esler held her little girl Ayla in her lap as her cochlear implant was activated for the first time.
Ayla reacted to hearing her first sound with a wiggle, a laugh and a smile. Her mother immediately cried and shed happy tears.
Anna said, "I thought she would probably cry and scream when her CIs were activated -- and she did do that later when it became overwhelming -- but to see her hearing sound and enjoying it was just incredible." (Fox News)
