In 2015, we heard the story about how 1,000 musicians got together in Cesena, Italy, to convince Foo Fighters to come there and play a show. They did it and documented everything, which we can see how it all happened in the new movie We Are The Thousand!
The man who came up with the plan and created the Rockin' 1000, Fabio Zaffagnini, and director Anita Rivaroli, joined me to talk about all of it: how the idea was born, getting 1,000 musicians from all over to play "Learn To Fly", filming the musicians and the time in between leading up to the Foo Fighters show, Dave Grohl's response video in Italian, funding the movie and the band, music brining people of so many different ages and generations together, the tribute to Taylor Hawkins in Paris and plans for the Rockin' 1000 to play shows around the world!
